JOB TITLE: Sales Trainer
REPORTS TO: U K Training Manager

SALARY: £35,000 to £38,000pa, Car Allowance £5,200pa, 20 days holiday, pension, healthcare after qualifying period, full training & induction, great career prospects
The implementation of an effective sales training plan which maximises business performance through the comprehensive development of skills, knowledge and aptitude within the organisation.
Input into the Training & Development strategy for the Company
Design and implementation of SKUK sales training, development and succession plans
Conduct regular gap analyses/TNA to establish business, individual, and professional development and training needs
Design and deliver comprehensive sales training programmes for all sales staff (Direct Sales, National Accounts, Sales/Services Rep’s and their managers). Liaise with internal and external third parties to provide relevant product training to new and existing employees and to support new product launches
Work with the business to ensure that all compliance, H&S, and regulatory training obligations are fully met or exceeded.
Ensure that Company, Departmental, and individual training and development plans are effectively designed, managed and implemented
Work with the HRD and business to assist in the implementation of robust succession plans
Design, develop and deliver internal training courses as appropriate. Specifically within the generic areas of sales, customer service, man management, and coaching/training.
Assist other departments and trainers in the development and delivery of training modules/programmes, including new starter inductions.
Identify, coach and co-ordinate ‘specialist’ trainers from across SKUK to maximise the training capability of the business.
Evaluate and report upon the effectiveness of all training and development activity
Produce meaningful MI, identifying and implementing training and development activities as necessary
Identify and use appropriate training venues, ensuring that they assist to maximise the effectiveness of training whilst giving consideration to budget and logistical constraints.
Ensure that all training administration is carried out accurately and in a timely fashion, taking account of business needs, budget, and logistical considerations.
Network and research within the T&D arena to ensure that best practice and innovative or creative ideas and solutions can be utilised
Build strong relationships across the business
Carryout any other generic training in order to support training department across all areas of the Safetykleen branch network
Analyses problems, thinks creatively, and makes effective decisions in the appropriate timescale
Sets, monitors and reviews clear objectives within the framework of the business goals, using appropriate systems and processes

Previous experience required in:
Personally designing and delivering training modules, ideally within sales, management or customer service. Ability to write own material using past sales experience
Experience of delivering recognised leading industry sales methodology.
Successfully implementing training across a multi-site business
Experience of working to deliver training and development solutions within a fast paced environment
Commercial focus and robust understanding of business, particularly sales, multi site B2B service operations, and KPI’s
Previous experience of delivering training solutions through internal and external third parties
Excellent presentation skills

Certificate in Training Practice, (CIPD) / NVQ/SVQ in Training & Development / ITOL or equivalent essential
