This is an ideal next step for a Technical Coordinator, QA Supervisor or Technologist ready to progress into a Junior Technical Manager role, with mentorship, real responsibility, and a clear development pathway into senior technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Support the site's Technical Manager with food safety, compliance, and customer standards across chilled food production.

*

Lead and support internal audits, traceability exercises, and ensure HACCP and BRCGS requirements are maintained.

*

Work closely with production, NPD, and quality teams to ensure products meet customer and legislative standards.

*

Assist in managing customer visits, audits, and technical reviews.

*

Be the point of contact for day-to-day technical queries, including supplier specifications, complaints, and non-conformances.

*

Drive continuous improvement and support the site's high-care/high-risk hygiene standards.

*

Maintain and manage documentation including QAS, CCPs, and technical systems.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone ambitious, hands-on, and keen to grow within a technically advanced manufacturing site. You'll ideally have:

Experience in a food manufacturing technical or QA role.

*

A sound understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, and retailer standards.

*

Great communication skills and the ability to engage confidently across departments.

*

High attention to detail and strong organisation for managing audits and compliance.

*

Ideally a food science or related degree, but experience and mindset are just as important.

*

A desire to progress into more senior roles in a business that genuinely supports career development.

*

Worked in a customer facing role / has experience with customers and suppliers.
