UK Power Networks is looking for a Tactical Procurement Specialist to support smart, efficient sourcing across a diverse range of indirect categories. If you enjoy problem‑solving, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving value through clever procurement, this role is for you.

🔧 What you'll do

• Manage small tenders, direct awards and single‑source requests
• Analyse contracts, identify renewal and savings opportunities
• Support category management and supplier onboarding
• Execute compliant sourcing routes, including three‑bid tenders
• Act as a key partner interface, guiding stakeholders through procurement
• Drive efficiency, challenge assumptions and support continuous improvement

🎯 What you'll bring

• Strong organisational, analytical and influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities with accuracy and pace
• Understanding of supplier management, sourcing processes and commercial principles
• Confident working independently within a busy team environment

⭐ Bonus points for

• Degree-level study (procurement, business, engineering)
• NEC3 experience
• Prior purchasing/procurement experience
• Experience in regulated environments
• CIPS/MCIPS (or working toward it)
• Familiarity with SAP Ariba / Achilles
