English Teacher

Pay rate: £168 - £215 per day

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting a English Teacher for a full-time position based in Bradford.

This position is due to start after the October half term, and is full-time and ongoing until the end of the Academic Year.

As a English Teacher, the applicant will be expected to take part in any necessary activities/ duties of a permanent teacher such as planning and preparing lessons, parents evening and staff meetings.

Role Responsibilities:

• Teaching English Literature and Language to KS3 and KS4
• Be an excellent, inspirational teacher with strong classroom management
• Support students in achieving their full potential
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Plan and assess students' progress in line with the curriculum
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the learning experience
• Parents evenings

Requirements:

• Hold a valid teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS or QTLS
• Have experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
• Hold a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for a new one
• Be able to work the specific full-time timetable
• Be prepared to provide general cover for other classes as needed
• Provide details of last 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years’ work history
• Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
• Be willing to complete a face to face registration and satisfy several checks
