Salary: £50000 - £60000/annum

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking an HSE Advisor to join their team in Walsall.

Responsibilities of HSE Advisor:

* Support HSE and wellbeing initiatives across the business

* Lead incident investigations and implement preventative actions

* Carry out site inspections to maintain HSE standards

* Provide practical HSE advice to employees and contractors

* Review RAMS and support inductions for staff and subcontractors

* Deliver HSE inductions and training

* Monitor, analyse and report HSE performance data monthly

* Promote HSE initiatives and continuous improvement

* Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work

* Chair HSEQ meetings and track actions to completion

* Support audits and maintain ISO compliance (9001, 14001, 45001)

* Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company procedures

* Communicate key HSE information across teams

* Record, investigate and report incidents, issuing safety alerts where needed

* Produce reports, track trends and support improvement plans

Experience Required for HSE Advisor:

Essential

* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

* Environmental management qualification (e.g. ISEP Foundation or similar)

* Working knowledge of relevant regulations such as PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, L117 and Work at Height Regulations

* Ability to lead by example and encourage safe working behaviours

* Experience in fast-paced environments such as construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry

* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable

* Training/teaching qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET or PTTLS)

* Internal auditing experience (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

* Understanding of machinery safety regulations and directives

* Experience within construction, particularly heavy civils or the water sector
