Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a fantastic secondary school seeking a Temporary Technology Technician to cover a short-term gap while permanent recruitment takes place. This role will begin immediately after Christmas.

The successful candidate will work across Design Technology, Food Technology, Textiles and Art, providing hands-on technical support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and clear away materials, tools, ingredients and equipment across all practical subjects

Provide in-class technical support, ensuring the safe use of machinery and resources

Conduct routine health & safety checks and perform basic maintenance (e.g., ovens, workshop tools, sewing machines)

Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and consumables

Maintain a safe, organised and engaging working environment in workshops and classrooms

Essential Experience

Confident using a range of workshop tools and equipment

Knowledge of food hygiene procedures

Strong understanding of health and safety practices within practical learning environments
