My client, a leading global logistics provider, is looking to recruit an Air Import Supervisor/team leader for its Heathrow office.

ROLE: Air Import Supervisor

LOCATION: West Drayton/Heathrow

SALARY: Up to £42k plus pension plus healthcare

HOURS: Monday to Friday with some flexibility. For example:

8 am - 4 pm

8.30 am - 4.30 pm

9 am - 5 pm

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Air Import experience essential
• Team leadership experience essential
• Ability to complete air imports from start to finish
• Customs entries
• First class communication and relationship building skills
• Strong team player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delegating and monitoring employee daily workloads
• Import quotations
• Customer services and development of airfreight import product, including customer visits where required
• Account Manager for key VIP export accounts
• Rate and service level negotiations with customers and suppliers, including oversees offices and airlines.
• General Import operations including customs clearance
• Strategic planning of gateway functions at MAN and LHR, Aircraft pallet build planning at origin and transport planning
• Liaising with warehouse regarding receipt of cargo and further palletisation or delivery requirements
• General office administration
• Ensuring all invoice transactions are processed within given deadlines and payment is received where credit terms are not in place.
• To assist in recruitment of import staff
• Monitoring and completion of Customer status report in Excel
