Make a Real Impact in Education - Lead with Purpose and Drive Excellence

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving quality and compliance in the learning and skills sector? This is your opportunity to shape the future of education and apprenticeship delivery across the UK. Join a high-performing organisation that is committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering exceptional outcomes for learners.

A Purpose-Driven Organisation That Invests in People

This organisation is a recognised leader in education and employability services, known for its inclusive culture, commitment to staff development, and sector-leading work in quality and compliance. With a forward-thinking, people-first approach, you'll enjoy working in a supportive environment that values your expertise and empowers you to make strategic decisions. As a home-based leader, you'll also benefit from flexible working, a strong remote culture, and the chance to work with passionate professionals who truly care about learner success.

The Role: Assistant Director of Quality & Compliance

As Assistant Director, you will lead the charge in delivering the highest standards of quality assurance, curriculum design, safeguarding, claims, and compliance across a wide portfolio of government-funded learning and skills programmes. You'll play a critical role in maintaining regulatory excellence, developing continuous improvement strategies, and ensuring readiness for Ofsted inspections, funding audits, and commissioner reporting. With responsibility for multiple high-performing teams, you'll be the driving force behind strategic quality frameworks, learner outcomes, and curriculum innovation — especially across Apprenticeships and other funded programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Leading curriculum quality, safeguarding, and claims teams

*

Driving quality improvement plans, internal audits, and compliance frameworks

*

Acting as Ofsted nominee and overseeing inspection readiness

*

Supporting accurate and maximised funding claims

*

Enhancing data integrity, management information systems, and reporting

The Ideal Candidate

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

*

Extensive senior leadership experience within the education or learning & skills sector

*

Proven expertise in managing quality assurance and compliance for government-funded contracts

*

In-depth knowledge of Ofsted, ESFA funding rules, and inspection frameworks

*

Experience as an Ofsted nominee and leading audits

*

Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills

*

A passion for continuous improvement, curriculum design, and learner success

Familiarity with systems such as PICS, OneFile, and BI reporting tools would be a bonus, as would experience in apprenticeships, study programmes, and supported internships.
