We are a family-owned business specialising in the manufacture of structural and architectural metalwork, with our own in-house powder coating and sheet metal facilities, located just off junction 13 of the M1.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Estimating team as a Trainee Estimator. They will assist with the production of tenders for structural steel and architectural metalwork packages for projects of various scale and scope. Training will be provided but some experience of working within the construction industry or in a similar role would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Setting up enquiries on the system and creating project folders.

Performing take-offs using architectural and engineer's drawings.

Obtaining current rates from suppliers.

Compiling take-offs and rates to produce project cost sheets.

Creating quote letters/completing customer Bills of Quantities.

Following up on quotes with phone calls to customers.

Requirements:

College level construction industry related qualification would be an advantage.

Some experience working in a sales/admin role.

Keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills.

Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
