Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are working in partnership with a well-regarded independent SEN school in Newark that supports students aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated needs. This warm, nurturing environment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is ready to make a meaningful difference every single day.

The Role:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to meet individual learning needs
• Assisting teachers in delivering structured, engaging and age-appropriate lessons
• Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, wellbeing and social development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and reinforcing clear, consistent boundaries
• Promoting independence through practical life skills and daily routines
• Contributing to progress tracking and maintaining accurate, detailed records

Who We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential
• A calm, patient, resilient and child-centred approach
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and work collaboratively with staff
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not required if you bring the right experience and attitude
