Our client is a well established organisation with exciting growth plans, located in the Banbury area. They have a new permanent requirement in their business for a Finance Manager.

Reporting into the Finance Director, the key responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and oversee the financial operations of the business, including monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and intra-group transactions.
  • Provide key financial analysis to support decision-making, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
  • Supervise the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital, ensuring efficient cash management and timely payments to suppliers.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring that all accounting records are accurate and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Provide financial insights to senior management to help drive business strategy and improve profitability.
  • Review and improve internal controls, systems, and processes to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT and payroll.
  • Support with the preparation of management reports for investors, senior management, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a small finance team, providing leadership and support as the company grows.

Candidates that apply must be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and have proven experience of financial management, preferably within an SME. You should possess strong technical accounting skills, both financial and management, be analytical with a good grasp of financial controls and cash management. Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills are key, along with the ability to communicate and collaborate across the wider business.

On offer is a base salary of 50-60k plus bonus and benefits, along with the opportunity for future progression. The role will be predominantly based onsite at their new offices, which have free parking.
