Financial Analyst

We are partnering with a Knutsford based environmentally friendly manufacturing business in the appointment of an interim finance analyst. This will be for an initial 3-month period with the probability to extend.

You will join a busy and friendly team where you will be able to make an immediate impact, The team is constantly looking for ways to improve and welcome new ideas and innovations.

Reporting into the commercial finance director, the purpose of the role will be to prepare and analyse essential management information that will inform the leadership team and allow them to make informed decisions about the business.

You will be an experienced accountant with manufacturing experience as you will have previous experience in stock analysis and data analysis to include sub-contractor spend. You will business partner with all departments to source information so communication is key.

Month end duties include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing accruals and prepayments
• Reconciling significant monthly stock.
• Preparing the stock valuations and workshop job reporting.
• Preparing and posting all nominal ledger journals.
• Reviewing, investigating, and providing analysis of areas of expenditure.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Preparing and publishing the weekly profit & Loss estimate and the weekly cash flow.
• Assistance with preparing the VAT return.

YOU:

• Experienced accountant/finance analyst with strong analytical skills and knowledge gained in stock environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communicator and team player

You will be able to travel to Knutsford. The business offers hybrid working and can accommodate part time ( 4 days a week ) if preferred.
