About the Role:
We are working on behalf of a long-established and respected construction firm that is currently seeking a Construction Materials Buyer to support its growing pipeline of projects across London and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure construction materials in line with project specifications and budgets
*
Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers
*
Coordinate timely deliveries to ensure efficient site operations
*
Build and maintain supplier relationships
*
Track market trends and material costs to inform purchasing strategy
*
Liaise with site managers, project teams, and estimators to understand project needs
*
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and sustainability goals
*
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a construction buying/procurement role
*
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
*
Good knowledge of construction materials and supply chains
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Proficient with procurement software and Microsoft Office
*
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
*
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable:

CIPS qualification or working towards
*
Experience with varied project types and values
