The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with SEN in both classroom and small group/1:1 settings.
Assist with differentiated learning activities and provide targeted interventions.
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Help monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
Support with personal care needs where required.
About You:
Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting (school or otherwise).
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and meet individual pupil needs.
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
