£290 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a SEND Lead Worker to act as a key point of contact for families, schools, and professionals, coordinating support to ensure that the needs of children and young people (0-14 years) within a South West Local Authority are met.

The SEND Lead Worker will manage the appropriate provision of services and provide advice, support and guidance to settings/ services and families on matters relating to SEND.

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience of working for a Local Authority.
Strong understanding of current SEND legislation, guidance and policy.
Experience in building strong relationships with children and young people with SEND and their families.

Duties include but not limited to:

Coordinate the Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs assessment process, working in collaboration with the child/ young person and their family.
Liaise with professionals and providers, maintaining an organised and coordinated approach in order to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Support the inclusion of children with SEND in mainstream settings by advising schools and early years providers on effective strategies.

Skills required:

Able to successfully manage a personal caseload, ensuring tasks are prioritised appropriately.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confident in report writing and maintaining accurate case records.
