Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the Staffing Coordinator recruits, hires, provides guidance, orientation, interviews, skill tests, conducts background checks, necessary assessments and places temporary field employees on assignments with the Company’s clients; provides customer service to client companies and temporary field employees; and contributes to the sales effort of the team taking a proactive approach to clients and prospects. Responsible for candidate application process which includes: Obtaining completed Job Application, W-4 Booklet, New Hire Booklet, Interview, Safety Orientation and administration of all hiring documents used at any given time including, skills assessments. Additional duties include use of StaffCom software for entry of: Employee Information, Customer Information, Work Orders, Payroll, Scanning of Employee Information and interactions documentation. Responsible for effectively recruit and retain quality applicants and temporary employees for present and future job orders and develop and utilize excellent interviewing and applicant evaluation skills.
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible to maintain a database of field employees and candidates available for placement and to effectively source, select and sell field employees and candidates on job opportunities. Further, he/she must have an understanding of the skills and experience of the field staff available for placement. The Staffing Coordinator shall follow established procedures and implement action plans necessary to recruit and staff client companies. The Staffing Coordinator must also develop a procedure for and initiate proactive calls to clients and prospects. The Staffing Coordinator works closely with branch management to service clients and is responsible for office support in the areas of payroll and invoicing. In addition the Staffing Coordinator is responsible for handling of Certificate of Insurance Requests for current and new clients, processing and managing Workers’ Compensation Claim Reports and tracking of injuries and related duties, processing of Unemployment Compensation Claims requests for information and responding to informational calls to potential and existing clients.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience is helpful.
Position requires at least two years of previous staffing, recruitment, customer service and/or related business experience.
