well-established UK food manufacturer is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join its technical team at a key production site in Shropshire.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role supporting product quality, innovation, and compliance. You'll work across technical functions to help bring new products to market, maintain high standards, and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with new product development from concept to launch

Manage and update product specifications and technical documentation

*

Conduct shelf-life trials, sensory testing, and raw material assessments

*

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and UK/EU legislation

*

Support internal audits and liaise with suppliers and customers on technical queries

What We're Looking For

*

Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline

*

Experience in a food manufacturing environment (ideally dry goods or cereals)

*

Strong understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, and quality systems

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

A collaborative mindset and keen attention to detail
