Part Time Contract at 21.60 hours / week ( 6 months )

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Strategic Finance Business Partner in Sutton. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

• Apply professional judgement to interpret and apply policies and procedures to meet specific local or service needs
• Provide day to day management and professional supervision to staff to ensure operational plans and activities are delivered effectively
• Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards.
• Support the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering to lead and coordinate medium term financial planning for the revenue budgets
• Support and advise senior budget holders to manage financial risk and protect the financial health of the organisation

The candidate:

• Relevant professional qualification (CIMA, MBA, CIPFA, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Experience of working within a business partnering model in a local authority setting and/or complex organisation
• Knowledge of corporate financial management
