We're looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering business in Stockport known for designing and manufacturing safety-critical equipment used across industrial environments.
This is a role suited to someone who's been there, done it and can take designs from concept through to manufacture with minimal guidance.

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer?
* Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies
* Producing detailed CAD drawings and technical documentation
* Supporting bids, quotes and new product development projects
* Improving designs for performance, cost and manufacturability
* Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
What do you need?
* Significant experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within an engineering/manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and PDM systems
* Proven experience taking designs from concept through to manufacture
* A solid understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
* Confidence working independently and making technical decisions
