Greenacre School is one of the UK’s largest special schools, educating over 300 children and young people aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities. THE ROLE

To provide supervision for students during the mid-day break to ensure maintenance of good order, good behaviour, discipline and the safety and welfare of students.

Some duties will include:

  • Building relationships with pupils and staff

  • Supporting children during mealtimes

  • Understanding the needs of the pupils with SEN (Special Education Needs)

  • Working in line with schools policies and procedures

THE CANDIDATE

  • Basic evidence of competence in English

  • Interest in working in a special education school

  • An understanding/ interest of working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs

  • IDEALLY Experience of supervising children/ younger people

SALARY/ HOURS

Salary for a SMSA School Meals Supervisory Assistant is £#removed# - £#removed# actual annual salary working 10 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only (38 weeks per year) + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust (please review website)
