A nationally recognised law firm with a strong regional presence is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (4+ years PQE) to join its Tier 1 Legal 500-ranked Private Client Advisory team based in Southampton. The Role
The successful candidate will support high-net-worth individuals and families across a full range of private client matters, including:

• Complex wills and succession planning
• Trust creation and administration (lifetime and post-death)
• Estate and probate administration
• Tax planning, including inheritance tax and post-death variation
• Powers of attorney and Court of Protection work
• Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to business development activity

This role offers the opportunity to work within a nationally respected team, under the leadership of experienced senior lawyers, and with access to high-quality matters, many of which have tax, international, or trust complexities.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with 4+ years' experience in private client law
• Have a strong track record in complex wills, probate, estate administration, IHT planning, and trust work
• Demonstrate excellent technical ability and sound commercial judgment
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to excellent client service
• Be capable of supervising and supporting the development of junior team members
• Be proactive in relationship building, business development, and networking
• Familiarity with the Hampshire and/or West Sussex market is desirable but not essential
