Salary: £450 - £470/day

A leading Operator in Offshore Wind is recruiting for a Contract & Project Support Consultant to work in an initial 6 month contract. The role will offer flexible working between being office based a couple of days a week and remote working.

The Project & Contract Support role will apply professional principles, practices, and techniques to facilitate the delivery of projects and manage contracted work across all UK East coast sites. The Project & Contract Support role will report to the Project & Contractor Management head within Regional Support (UK East) and assist with fulfilling the department's regional objectives, which are: 1. to ensure a consistent and optimised project execution is adopted across East coast sites and adequate site resources are available to support in delivery
2. to centrally manage contracts across East coast sites and ensure procurement strategies are aligned, synergies are realised, performance metrics are introduced and execution is optimised By fulfilling these objectives we can achieve our aim of driving down cost and increasing performance and safety.

Your role as Contracts & Project support will include the following responsibilities and duties:
Act as primary point of contact to the project teams & East coast sites for project work and queries
Lead project meetings (kick off, mobilisation, execution and close-out) with internal team and suppliers and capture key discussions / actions in minutes
Be responsible for ensuring projects are adequately resourced on site including vessel / berthing capacity, facility space, marine coordination, operational control, PPE and communications / IT equipment, etc.
Be responsible for ensuring that projects are compliant with site Health, Safety & Environment requirements, are aligned with the companies safety culture and aware of procedures e.g. emergency response, incident reporting etc.
Be responsible for go / no go decision for all projects mobilising on site and for removing projects from site should they not comply with customer requirements at any time
Prepare and execute project plans for small projects on site where no project team has been appointed. Duties include scoping project, creating a time plan, securing resources, managing budget and risk and delivering to meet customer requirements
Adherence to project management strategy and procurement strategy across East coast sites ◦ Spend (cost savings based on previous like for like projects and reduction in external spend)
Safety
Quality (reduction in number of projects being turned away from site and data to support increased quality being achieved e.g. VMMS)
Responsible for go / no go decision on all projects and contractors mobilising on site

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Experience in the Offshore Wind industry
Highly focused on safety with excellent working knowledge of HSE / CDM regulations
Experience in Contracts Management
Experience in project management / project delivery
Results focused and process driven
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to communicate clearly with all audiences
A strong team player able to motivate others to assist in delivery of their own objectives
Assertive and able to make sound decisions based on available information
Adaptable to change and can work under pressure
Proficient in MS Office Products
Clean driving license
