Production Manager – West Midlands Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Production Manager for a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer. Our well-known market leading client offers excellent benefits, including a salary up to £55K per annum dependant on experience; as well as excellent fringe benefits and 28 days holiday (inclusive of statutory holiday). Essential Requirements; Currently working within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturer Have the ability to manage a variety of cross-function team members and departments Occasional UK and global travel required Proven leadership and man-management skills Excellent working knowledge of Lean and 5S principles Understanding of manufacturing, procurement and supply chain methods Understanding of TS16949, IOSH/NEBOSH, ISO14001 High level experience of managing profit and loss responsibilities for manufacturing Understanding of all manufacturing production costing models Knowledge of problem-solving techniques Excellent written, verbal and numeracy skills Role Requirements; Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets, to meet customer demand Implement and manage all continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications Minimising costs where possible, and ensure best working practices are always maintained Responsible for plant production, financial performance and productive operation of all planned activities Update the production daily to the board Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) with the appropriate data analysis presented to the board Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks within the production department Set department objectives/KPIs and review/assess performance of direct reports Ensure the delivery of the people strategy within all areas of the production function Provide technical expertise to the production team Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Contribute to new business initiatives and projects; and review and communicate the impact on all manufacturing activities Work collaboratively; whilst negotiating and engaging with key stakeholders, to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy of the business Support and ensure complicity with Health and Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental Standards and all other company policies and procedures If you feel you match the above criteria, please submit your CV to our recruitment team at
