About the Role: We are looking for experienced and resilient Support Workers to join our specialist team in Surrey. This is a challenging but highly rewarding role, where you will be a crucial figure for children and young people in crisis. Your expertise in de-escalation, building trust, and managing complex situations will be key to providing a safe, supportive, and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional care and daily support to children in a residential setting.

  • Confidently de-escalating heightened behaviours and making decisive, appropriate decisions under pressure.

  • Building trust with young people through creative and positive engagement.

  • Maintaining detailed records and incident reports with precision.

  • Working collaboratively with your team to implement care plans.

  • Upholding professional boundaries while demonstrating strong judgement and clear communication.

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable): To be considered for this specialist role, you must have:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • A minimum of 6 months' paid experience in a residential children's home within the last 3 years.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.

  • An enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one).

  • A valid overseas police certificate (if you have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • A genuine and demonstrable commitment to the welfare of children.
