Salary: £60000 - £70000/annum 33 days hols, flexi bens & co bonu

Another great role with us, this time in sales! We are seeking a strategic thinking Area Sales Manager with in-depth understanding of the European Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) market, to develop and execute a sales and marketing strategy that will result in generating 25% of our EMEA business unit sales. As Area Sales Manager we would like you to come with sales expertise, a drive to get results, an approach which is “Customer First” orientated and with technical knowledge. However, an engaging, dynamic personality that people will enjoy communicating with when being sold a solution, would be advantageous.

Requirements:

* As Area Sales Manager you will develops and maintain our Vertical Market Strategy for the European Food & Beverage, FMCG and other markets as may be assigned to you over time.

* Each vertical market will need a S.W.O.T. analysis and in essence you will create a sales plan and execute it.

* Your actions will be specific including all short, mid and long term goals, to enable you to build and maintain a network of contacts and in gaining current market intelligence for the industry.

* By maintaining a high level of ongoing communication as Area Sales Manager with key decision makers, and influencers within the accounts, your business should deliver sustainable profitable growth.

* Working together with other JBT sales division across Europe and on an international level, you will develop the ability to both cross and up sell all JBT have to offer!

* Goes without saying that we would like our Area Sales Manager to meet quarterly and annual sales targets, as you will be accountable for managing all facets of the sales process resulting in closed orders and new contracts.

* If you have used Salesforce before that would be useful as you will use this tool to create accurate forecasts as you will need to prepare and submits your forecast updates and monthly reports, to the business.

* You will work closely with the Applications Engineering Manager and other colleagues to assure all necessary applications data is provided for the sales proposal development process. So, this is where your techno expertise comes in as an Area Sales Manager with a technical background as product knowledge will be king!

* As per any sales role you will need to prepare presentations and materials for JBT senior executives and managers so that they can see what a fabulous job you are doing!

* You will need strong presentation skills, the ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. As well as mathematical skills, reasoning ability collecting data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, all part of a technical sales role.

* Please note although entitled Manager - this job has no direct supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications:

* We would like a degree in engineering or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* A minimum 3-5 years' successful experience selling high-value material handling systems and/or strategic automation investments or perhaps automation in manufacturing

* Direct experience with Automated Guided Vehicle Systems strongly desired - lets be honest if you come with a network that would be awesome for us but also easier for you!

* Proven ability to manage and win long, highly competitive, complex sales efforts with strategic techniques.
