About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate School Nurse to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs within a welcoming and supportive school in Slough.

The child has an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) in place, and you will play a key role in ensuring their medical, emotional, and wellbeing needs are met throughout the school day. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nurse who enjoys working closely with young people and wants to make a genuine, positive impact daily.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing direct 1:1 nursing support for a child with extra needs
  • Monitoring health, administering care where required, and responding calmly to any changes
  • Supporting emotional regulation and helping the child engage positively in lessons and activities
  • Following the guidance set out in the child’s EHCP and ensuring care plans are adhered to
  • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure continuity of care
  • Being a reassuring, friendly presence throughout the school day
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Who We’re Looking For

  • A qualified Nurse (RGN, Paediatric or similar)
  • Confident supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
  • Someone calm, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships
  • A great communicator who works well with both staff and families
  • Reliable, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
