Responsibilities

* Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design

* Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams

* Attending a range of project group and technical meetings

* Ensuring that the design of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements

* Aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint

* Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems.

* Using specialist software such as relux / dialux and other resources to design the systems required for the project

* Carrying out condition surveys and providing recommendation reports to clients

* To take opportunities as they arise for continued learning and development of your skills

Experience Required

* An Electrical or Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)

* Post degree experience in electrical building services design with experience in running projects including calculations, drawings and specifications, etc

* Experience of industry standard software
