Salary: £40000 - £45000/annum

I am delighted to be working exclusively with a major Automotive supplier based in West Yorkshire, who have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join their highly skilled team in Category & Product Management.

Reporting to the Product Director you will be the Category expert, identifying market trends and patterns, with an excellent understanding of customer and end user requirements.

You will have accountability for your own product groups with responsibility of achieving financial KPI's, category growth and driving product innovation by collaborating with key suppliers. The role will also require someone who has the technical skills to assist in resolving product issues as well as always looking to improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities;

* Responsible for delivering range development and category management to key territories, ensuring consistent growth
* Ensuring excellent quality and competitive cost of new products whilst maximising margins and sales potential
* Re-develop existing products to improve performance, quality and packaging
* Carrying out relative market research to maintain up to date with market trends and buying patterns
* Form excellent working relationship with key suppliers/vendors to maximise opportunities on product innovation, reduced lead times and competitive pricing
* Collaborating with the broader business for the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for products.
* Occasional travel to far east and europe
* Present management with regular reports to outline progress across product groups.
* Assist with Exhibitions and trade shows where necessary

Skills & Experience required;

* Ideally Degree educated
* A minimum of four years' experience within Product Management
* Successful track record in Product development and range management working within a fast moving industry
* Excellent communication skills with ability to form strong working relationships with both customers and vendors
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Evidence of creation of successful commercial business cases and using this to help prioritise product development decisions
