Hours/Week: 25 hours
Location: Supporting the Interlaken, Ovid, Seneca Falls and Waterloo Branches
Working under general supervision, performs a variety of duties as a member of a team to provide quality customer service. Will provide coverage as assigned to several different branches in a defined geographical area. These duties include receiving, paying, keeping accurate records of all monies involved in these transactions, and actively listening for customer needs and referring customer to appropriate products based on needs. Ideal candidate would have cash handling experience.
-Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
-Provide assistance to customers using quality service standards.
-Accept deposits, verifies cash and endorsements.
-Cash checks within limits assigned referring exceptions to supervisor.
-Accept savings deposits and withdrawals.
-Prepare individual daily settlements of teller cash and proof operations.
-Look and listen for potential sales opportunities while conducting daily customer transactions, promoting specific Bank products as applicable.
-Observe and act on opportunities to create appointments for Sales Representatives, Financial Service Representatives, and Lenders.
-Researches customer accounts, send out prospecting letters, and follow up with customers by telephone.
-Make customer service related telephone calls.
-Accepts loan, utility and other payments.
-Issue money orders, cashier's and travelers checks, correspondent bank drafts, etc.
-May open Christmas Clubs.
As an integral member of the Branch, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Branch and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
