The Best Connection are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our well-established client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality household furniture. Based at their modern depot in Eggborough (DN14), they are looking for a professional and reliable 7.5T Driver to join their growing team.
This is a Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate - offering long-term stability and career progression.
🛠️ The Role
You'll be working as part of a two-person team alongside a Porter, delivering premium furniture to customers' homes and high street showrooms. This is a hands-on role where excellent customer service is just as important as driving skills.
Working Pattern:
📦 Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily delivery routes
Load and unload furniture safely and efficiently
Deliver to residential properties and retail showrooms (multi-drop)
Carry furniture into properties with your Porter
Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
Unwrap, inspect, and check items for damage before leaving site
Complete delivery documentation accurately
Assemble furniture in customer homes where required
Collect returns and recycled furniture
Maintain clear communication with stores and warehouse teams
💪 What We're Looking For
Valid 7.5T (C1) licence
Maximum 6 minor points (no DR, DD, CD, TT or IN10 endorsements)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Excellent customer service skills
Previous multi-drop or furniture delivery experience desirable
