Lemon Drizzle Recruitment has been appointed to recruit a Construction Project Coordinator for a Main Contractor based in North Shields. This role is to support the Contracts Manager and build team with the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects. You will assist with project planning and coordinating, procurement, quality control, health & safety, site set up and build admin.

You'll be office based and will visit sites across the North East, inspecting health, safety and quality standards.

The vibe in the office is relaxed yet professional and you will be working alongside Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors and other construction professionals.

What you'll be responsible for

* Project Planning & Management: Assisting in the planning, coordinating and management of multiple projects.

* Support Project Teams: Assisting with scheduling, resource allocation, preparing and maintaining project documentation reports and logs.

* Monitor project progress: identify potential issues and help implement solutions.

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication.

* Procurement: Assisting with the procurement of materials and services, including assisting managing contracts and appointments.

* Quality Control: Ensuring work is completed to the required standards and specifications.

* Health & Safety: Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment on site, including conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

* Communication & Stakeholder Management: Maintaining clear communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

* Reporting & Documentation: Preparing reports, maintaining records, and contributing to project documentation.

Who is this role ideal for?

* Knowledge of construction processes and regulations: Understanding the technical aspects of construction.

* Minimum 1 year working in a construction environment

* Computer Literate: as a high proportion of communication will be via the company's computer system.

* Organizational and time management skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential.

* Health & Safety: Aware of Site Health & Safety Requirements

* Strong communication skills

* Construction related qualification (NVQ/Degree)

* You must have a full, clean UK driving licence and have transport as you will be required to visit various sites
