Our vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. We are a forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to academic excellence, equality, and the wellbeing of our students.

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with teachers, provide targeted interventions, deliver small-group and whole-class learning, and help ensure all students-regardless of background or ability-have the opportunity to thrive.

• Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes as directed by teaching staff

• Support pupils with a range of needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment

• Assist teachers with planning, classroom management, and assessment

• Lead intervention programmes to boost progress and confidence

• Build positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families

• Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values

• Holds HLTA status (or is working towards it)

• Has strong experience working in a secondary school setting

• Is confident delivering learning independently

• Has excellent communication and organisational skills

• Is committed, proactive, and passionate about supporting young people

• Works well as part of a collaborative and diverse team
