Electrical Fitter - Rotating Equipment

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, multi-site engineering business based in our Liverpool facility. Specialising in electrical, electronic & mechanical engineering, we provide a complete turnkey fault-find, repair and manufacture service for a wide range of clients. Growing demand has led to an immediate requirement for an experienced Electrical Engineer/Fitter with in-depth knowledge and experience of repairing electrical rotating equipment. A key part of the role is to provide rostered out-of-hours cover which attracts generous remuneration.

Duties will Include

* Dismantling a wide range of motors (including AC & DC), brake motors, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and experience with static and dynamic testing.

* Testing and repair of transformers.

* Identifying and repairing any faults found.

* Re-assembly and testing of equipment following repair

* Working with motor voltages up to 415 Volts and test voltages up to 2Kv

* Dealing with technical issues which may arise

* Attending site to test and analyse motors and generators in use using standard industry equipment and determining faults and repair action required

* Experience working with alternators and fault finding preferable not essential

* Site working as required - Full UK driving licence.

Hours of work are 40 hours Mon- Fri 08.00 -16.30 day shift with occasional overtime or weekend work during busy periods.
