We're hiring for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an independent, multi-divisional industrial company specialising in advanced manufacturing services at their site based in Glossop.

You'll play a key role in keeping the site's production equipment running efficiently, from installing vessels and pipework to maintaining pumps and gearboxes, with plenty of variety across planned projects and reactive maintenance.

What's on offer?

* £35,000 - £38,000 per year

* Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

* Overtime available at 1.5x

* Annual pay increases

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer?

* Installing mechanical equipment including vessels, hoppers, mixers, pipework and valves

* Removing and refitting pipework across the site

* Carrying out mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance on pumps, gearboxes, bearings and valves

* Supporting planned projects and upgrades across the plant

* Troubleshooting faults and resolving issues to minimise downtime

What do you need?

* Experience in a mechanical fitting or maintenance engineering role

* Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent hands-on experience

* Background in chemical, process or industrial environments (desirable)

* Strong fault-finding skills and proactive problem-solving mindset
