English Teacher - Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Teach English full time across relevant secondary year groups
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills
Maintain consistent routines and positive behaviour expectations
Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
Support pupils in building confidence and independence in English
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfareIdeal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong English teaching experience
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
Ability to motivate and support learners of different abilities
Good organisational and communication skills
Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
