Long Term Futures is working with a specialist post-16 college in Coventry to recruit a committed Learning Support Assistant. The college provides tailored education for young people aged 16-25 with a wide range of needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and complex learning difficulties.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team that empowers students to develop confidence, independence, and key life skills alongside their academic studies.

Your Role Will Involve

• Providing individual and small group support to help students engage with lessons

• Encouraging independence both in learning and in day-to-day routines

• Assisting with adapted learning activities to ensure inclusivity and engagement

• Supporting students in building communication, social, and emotional skills

• Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver joined-up care

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting young people with additional needs is desirable (post-16 experience a bonus, but not essential)

• A caring, flexible, and proactive approach to learning support

• Confidence in promoting positive behaviour and building strong relationships

• Commitment to encouraging independence and resilience in learners

• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is welcome but not required
