Freelance Site Manager | School Fit-Out | Crawley
We are seeking a high-caliber Site Manager for a prestigious, long-term freelance contract in Crawley, West Sussex. This project involves a comprehensive internal fit-out of a local school and requires a leader with a sharp eye for detail and a proven track record in education or high-spec commercial sectors.

- Duration: Long-term freelance
- Start Date: April 2026
- Location: Crawley (West Sussex)
- Rate: £270 - £280 per day (DOE)
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing the daily operations of a fast-paced school fit-out.
- Managing subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and on programme.
- Maintaining rigorous Health & Safety standards within a live or sensitive environment.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and school stakeholders.
- Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.
Requirements- Experience: Significant experience in internal fit-outs (education experience is highly desirable).
- DBS: Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to undergo one immediately).
- Qualifications: SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and a Black CSCS Card.
- Attributes: Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Note: Due to the nature of the project being within an educational facility, an Enhanced DBS check is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
