Electrical Design Engineer - Pontefract

Adept Resourcing is partnering with an organisation based in Pontefract, on the lookout for an Electrical Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for modular enclosures and power equipment
Produce wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and technical documentation compliant with industry standards
Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless design integration
Apply knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and other relevant electrical standards
Review and update designs based on client specifications and project requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives and design optimisation to enhance product performance and manufacturability
Participate in design reviews, quality checks, and compliance auditsRequirements:

Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally within power generation, switchgear, or industrial enclosure sectors
Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)
Understanding of electrical wiring regulations and standards (BS 7671 or equivalent)
Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and documentation
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field preferredWorking Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7am - 4pm (Early finish on Friday)
40 hours per week
