Hours: 49 hours per week

Mon-Fri: 7:30am - 16:30pm

Sat: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Salary: £31,000 per annum, Negotiable DOE

The Role - Merchant Branch Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to independently manage a dedicated hire concession within a leading Builder's Merchant. You'll be the face of our client on site, working directly with customers to ensure they have the right equipment for the job - and driving growth through upselling, cross-selling, and repeat business.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Managing and growing the hire concession within the merchant branch.

* Advising customers on the full product range - from standard hires to premium options.

* Building strong relationships to drive repeat business.

* Meeting and exceeding sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.

* Monitoring local competitors and spotting opportunities.

* Operating as a lone worker at times, taking full ownership of branch performance.

About You:

* Proven track record in a sales-focused role (preferably in tools, equipment, or construction supplies).

* Confident in upselling and promoting premium products.

* Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive.

* Great communicator with a friendly, approachable style.

* Comfortable working independently and taking full responsibility for results.
