We are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 RMN (Staff Nurse - Prisons) to join the Mental Health team at HMP Isle of Wight on a 3-month placement (renewable on a 4-week basis).

📍 Location: HMP Isle of Wight, Parkhurst Road, Newport, IOW, PO30 5RS
🕐 Hours: Full-time - 08:00-16:00 or 09:00-17:00
📅 Start date: Immediate
🔒 Requirement: Must hold current prison clearance

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide mental health interventions across wellbeing, primary, and secondary mental health services within the prison.

* Manage your own caseload: assessments, care planning, interventions, and reviews under the Care Programme Approach.

* Deliver evidence-based interventions, including health promotion in a secure environment.

* Provide culturally sensitive and holistic care to prisoners.

* Undertake risk assessments, offering guidance and decision-making to support patient safety.

* Coordinate care and assessment under the care coordination framework.

* Administer and oversee medication management in line with clinical policies.

* Contribute to setting, auditing, and monitoring quality standards to ensure best practice.

Pay Rates (Umbrella):

* Day: £26.78 per hour

* Nights / Saturday: £35.71 per hour

* Sunday / Bank Holiday: £44.65 per hour
