Job Title: Fire & Security Technician

Location: Manchester

Salary: £38,481.37 Total Salary (Inclusive of Standby Payment), Overtime, Travel Time, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits - Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm, 42.5 hours per week (1 week in 4 on standby)

Job Purpose:

To be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.

Key Accountabilities:

To undertake maintenance and repairs in accordance with KPI's set by the customer including, but not limited to response, repair, first fix, and closure.

To ensure all planned, reactive and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer is carried out in accordance with contractual obligations as set out in the City FM Bookcase.

To complete the PPM works within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.

To respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call. For avoidance of doubt out of hours will be referred to the specialist in the first instance.

To identify non-repairable faults in equipment and propose corrective course of action.

To order parts where required in line with Company Procedures, ensure prompt fitment on delivery and chase outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days

To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds)

Ability to maintain and repair a range of Fire, CCTV products and specific EAS systems (Sensormatic)
