NexGen Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Engineer (MillTurn) to join a well established, global brand specialising within the Motorsport sector.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Job Description:

Our client are seeking a motivated individual to join our Manufacturing Team as a Senior Production Engineer.

The Role:

* Responsible for producing CNC Programs for 4 & 5 axis machines, and Multi Axis Turn-Mills using Siemens NX & Vericut.

* Responsible for producing CNC Grinding Programs for a variety of Grinding Machines.

* Manage New Part Introduction for short lead time Prototype & Production Projects.

* Create & define manufacturing routings & BOM using SAP ERP.

* Design fixtures & tooling for NPI Projects.

* Introduce new cutting technology to improve tool life & cycle time.

* Assist with implementation of departmental training & progression.

* Estimate production times and costs.

* Identify ways to reduce cost within the manufacturing processes.

* Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.

* Support the Company's compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

* Proven experience Machining/Programming complex components in the Automotive/Aerospace Industry.

* Experience of Siemens NX CAD/CAM system.

* Experience using Vericut Simulation Software.

* Use of SAP ERP systems desirable.

* Relevant Engineering Qualification achieved (HNC or higher).

* Thorough understanding of Machining/Cutting and Inspection techniques.

* Strong organisation and communication skills.

* Willing to be flexible to support where necessary.
