OakRock is working with a large organisation seeking an experienced Interim Head of Payroll to provide leadership and stability to their payroll function during a period of change.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing payroll operations for a large workforce, managing a small payroll team and ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations for c.4,000 employees
- Manage and support a team of payroll professionals
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time and in compliance with HMRC regulations
- Provide leadership and structure to the payroll function
- Review and improve payroll processes and controls
- Act as the key point of contact for payroll across Finance, HR and senior leadership
- Support with any payroll-related projects or system improvements
What We’re Looking For- Proven experience leading a large payroll function
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience managing payroll teams and complex payroll environments
- Hands-on approach with the ability to quickly stabilise and improve processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills
