Carrington West are supporting a Local Authority client in the Midlands with their search for a Senior or Principal Development Management Officer to join their team.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering the Council's Local Plan and Corporate Priorities through effective Development Management outcomes.

The Role
 
·Determining planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries in line with national and local policy
·Negotiating amendments, conditions and Section 106 agreements
·Investigating breaches of planning control and supporting enforcement action
·Preparing and presenting reports to Planning Committee
 
Your experience
 
·Experience within a Local Authority Development Management team
·Experience handling planning cases appropriate to your level
·Strong report writing and communication skills
·Member of the RTPI
