We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Estimation & Quotation Specialist to support our Production division. This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and optimisation of machine option quotations. It involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to compile accurate, timely, and profitable quotations, all while enhancing customer satisfaction and driving commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of the creation and ongoing management of all machine option quotations.
Compile accurate, competitive, and timely quotations in collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, and other key departments.
Project manage each quotation, ensuring timely responses and input from relevant stakeholders within the Production division.
Support the development, implementation, and optimisation of market-driven costing strategies to increase conversion rates of machine options.
Competently estimate costs related to machining, fabrication, engineering design, materials, and assembly. Monitor these estimates against actuals to drive continuous commercial improvement.
Maintain clear, transparent communication with European Sales organisations to ensure alignment and strengthen key relationships.
Gather and analyse KPI data to drive improvements in option revenue, profitability, and conversion rates.
Lead continuous improvements in the option quotation process and systems to deliver greater value to customers and the Production division.
Support the bi-annual standard costing exercise with accurate commercial analysis and input.
Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

Prior experience in estimation and quotation processes within a related engineering field.
Strong understanding of the commercial impacts of estimation and performance metrics.
Technical and engineering acumen with the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and products.
Solid commercial and financial awareness.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence multi-national stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer service.
Willingness and ability to travel and communicate in support of the role.
A degree (or higher) in a relevant technical, engineering, or business-related subject

Technical experience in a machine tool environment.
Proficiency in English (both business and technical),
Proven experience implementing business systems related to estimation and quotations
