Job Title: Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Engineering (Mechatronics)
Salary: £34,000 - £36,264
Location: Rotherham

Are you an experienced Engineering Assessor with a background in Mechatronics? We're working with a reputable and forward-thinking College who are looking to appoint a Skilled Apprenticeship Tutor to support the next generation of engineering talent.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality workplace training, assessment, and coaching to engineering apprentices on Mechatronics pathways.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, on-site and remote assessment sessions to apprentices in Mechatronics Engineering

Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support timely achievement

Conduct workplace visits and reviews in line with curriculum and awarding body standards

Plan and deliver skills-based coaching aligned with apprenticeship standards

Complete assessment records and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

A recognised Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent) - Essential

Recent experience assessing in an engineering/mechatronics environment - Essential

Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Engineering or Mechatronics

Strong industry knowledge with the ability to coach and support apprentices in the workplace

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
