About the Role:
Our client are a leading provider of engineering services to the Nuclear and Defence industry. Their work spans the full system lifecycle, supporting the development of high-integrity systems in complex, high-hazard, and heavily regulated environments.

They are currently seeking a Requirements Engineer (or a Systems, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineer with strong requirements capture experience) to support ongoing and future nuclear-focused projects. Experience within the nuclear domain is essential - general defence sector experience without nuclear will not be sufficient for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture, analyse, and manage stakeholder and system-level requirements using industry-standard tools
Support the re-baselining and impact assessment of requirements for complex systems.
Develop Verification Cross Reference Matrices, verification plans, and related compliance documentation.
Conduct independent design assessments and support preparation for major reviews such as Critical Design Reviews and Systems Acceptance Reviews.
Define and manage design interfaces and produce Interface Control Documents.
Contribute to system architecture, Verification & Validation strategy development, and trial design.
Liaise effectively with internal teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies.
Candidate Profile:

Demonstrable experience in requirements engineering within the nuclear sector.
Systems Engineers with broad lifecycle experience who are willing to specialise in requirements engineering will be considered.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineers with significant experience in requirements capture and analysis will also be considered, provided they have nuclear sector exposure.
Familiarity with safety-critical, high-integrity systems in regulated environments.
Proficiency with requirements management and modelling tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, Sparx EA).
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
