Are you an experienced Team Leader with a background in warehouse or process operations? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment? Our client is seeking a driven and hands-on Process/Warehouse Team Leader to support daily operations, drive performance, and lead a high-performing team.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure daily and weekly targets are achieved. You will provide strong, hands-on leadership across process and warehouse functions, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality output, and excellent service levels.

You will take ownership of your shift, motivating your team, improving performance, and ensuring operational standards are consistently met. This role involves oversight of raw materials, finished goods, and outbound/inbound flows, all delivered with a right-first-time mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations across process and warehouse areas.
  • Maintain audit-ready standards across hygiene, housekeeping, and documentation.
  • Ensure all products meet quality, output, and safety standards.
  • Plan daily workload, anticipating issues such as machine faults or material shortages.
  • Oversee effective product and line changeovers.
  • Support training and development of team members to build skills and capability.

Warehouse & Supply Chain

  • Ensure timely delivery of raw materials to the production plan.
  • Manage customer order picking and dispatch to daily loading schedules.
  • Use systems such as SAP, WMS, and reporting tools to track performance.
  • Provide accurate shift handovers and contribute to team and H&S meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement and seek innovative solutions.

People Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver high standards.
  • Manage performance, attendance, and probation reviews with HR support.
  • Promote strong working relationships and high safety standards.
  • Address underperformance and drive a culture of accountability.

Safety & Quality

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Quality standards.
  • Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Support site quality requirements, GMP/5S, and audit readiness.
  • Complete NCRs and investigate quality issues to prevent recurrence.
Flexibility

The role may involve occasional support for other functions or covering different operational duties when needed, depending on business requirements.

About You

Essential experience & skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading teams in a fast-paced, automated warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs, continuous improvement, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead from the front.
  • Competent with IT systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP (or similar).
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence.
