Quality Assurance Team Leader – 4 Day Week

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

Location: Near Belfast

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6am to 3:45pm

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance or Compliance specialist from a Food or Beverage Manufacturing background looking for a chance to step up into a Team Leader role, or alternatively someone that wants to make a lateral move to improve your work-life balance?

This well-established food manufacturer supplies into Foodservice, QSR, FSR and Retail channels. They are backed by a global FMCG giant that employs over 5000 people across numerous production facilities, with a turnover of more than £1 billion.

They are looking for a Quality Assurance or Compliance specialist from a Food or Beverage Manufacturing background with experience in things such as audits (internal & third-party), CCP & GMP training/inspections, and raw material & product checks.

This position would suit someone who wants to leverage their experience to coach, lead and positively influence others while also having the support of a Technical Manager who can provide additional training in NPD and Continuous Improvement tools.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

• Upholding Food Safety, Quality and H&S standards across site, ensuring compliance with internal, legislative and customer requirements
• Leading, coaching and developing the QA team along with production staff by organizing daily workloads, managing training and reviewing performance
• Driving continuous improvement by monitoring processes, analysing trends, conducting audits and working across departments to enhance safety, efficiency and quality
• Aiding Operations & NPD teams by ensuring materials and products meet specifications, overseeing quality checks, resolving non-conformances and assisting with launches

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a Food Safety, Compliance or Quality Assurance position, preferably with leadership responsibilities
• Auditing experience – BRC, ISO etc.
• Level 2 or above HACCP or Food Safety qualification
• Previous experience using customer technical portals such as Opri, Erudus etc.
