We have a permanent Maintenance Operative (Fabric) role to join our team, based at South Dean Primary Care Resource Centre, covering the Liverpool & Cheshire (N6) region.
  • £29,000 per annum (starting salary)
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00
  • Permanent contract
  • Company van & tools provided
  • On-call allowance included

Key Responsibilities

This role will deliver a full fabric maintenance service within NHS Property Services premises, ensuring safe, compliant and well-maintained buildings across the region.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out a wide range of fabric maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry and joinery
  • Completing both planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Supporting fire door checks and repair work (desirable skill)
  • Ensuring all works meet statutory, regulatory and internal NHSPS standards
  • Representing the organisation professionally with a strong customer-focused approach
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple NHS sites in Liverpool & Cheshire

What We're Looking For

Essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (suitable for fabric maintenance roles)
  • Experience in fabric maintenance
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Driving licence
Desirable
  • Experience working with fire doors
  • Fire-door maintenance qualifications
